"Kathy S. in Snowland"--My First Story!!

I'm not actually sure this is my VERY first story, but it is the one that was saved all these years. Written when I was in second grade, age 7.

I love the part about the TV dinners; back in the 60s it was cool to have TV dinners... and we never had them! My mom insisted on making home-cooked meals! So then, as now, my fiction had an element of wish fulfillment...

Kathy S. was my best friend then. We'd met when we were two and a half! And we're still dear friends now. But I think I was a bit jealous of her new big-girl bike . . .

More wish fulfillment, right?
